World Pheasant Plucking Championship Entry Form and Rules & Regulations

Held Indoors in a Barn – Refreshments available in on site Cafe- Free Ample Parking

The “Sixth” Fir Tree Farm World Pheasant Plucking Championship in association with the World Pheasant Association
Saturday 21st November at approx 1-30pm 

· Entries are £3, which will be collected on the day

· Please contact Fir Tree Farm who will fill in the entry form in for you or download the form from Website

· Each contestant will attempt to pluck a pheasant in the allotted time of 10 minutes

· Hands only may be used to pluck the birds; the use of mechanical or other gadgets will not be allowed

· Tail and wing feathers are to be removed and birds will be judged on the finish and appearance at the end of the 10 minutes. Extra Merit will be given to those contestants finishing in less than 10 minutes

· We would be grateful if contestants arrive at 12-45 pm for a prompt 1-30pm start 

· Aprons will be supplied unless you wish to provide your own

· Whilst under-17s are more than welcome to enter, we must award any prize to an accompanying adult, competition entry is open to anyone

· Prizes are non-transferable and competitors can keep their own plucked pheasant 

· The winner must return the Trophy Shield one month before the next Championship

Prizes, kindly sponsored by the The World Pheasant Association,George Wright Micro Brewery in Rainford, the North West Game Company and the Garden Festival Company of Southport, prizes will be awarded to the three best efforts and best newcomer:

The World Champion - First Prize-  Engraved Championship Trophy shield, Pheasant Poster,a case of George Wright Brewerys Cheeky Pheasant Beer (12 x 500ml) and a £15-00 food,drink and groceries voucher to be spent in Fir Tree Farm shop and cafe

Reserve Champion (Second Prize )- A World Pheasant Association T shirt and Pheasant Poster, and a Curry Bush

Third Prize-  A Curry Bush and a Rope of Onions

Best Newcomer Prize-  A Lancashire Firecracker Chilli Plant
